Pigmenting Hydro-Seal 75 to desired pastel

Hydro-Seal 75, available in standard colors white & gray, can be pigmented to most desired pastels colors with the addition of Universal liquid pigments which are available at most paint stores.
When pigmenting Hydro-Seal 75 it is very important to know:
 1. Adding Pigment: The pigment is added to the A Component prior to mixing Hydro-Seal 75.
2. Pastel colors only: Because the natural color of Hydro-Seal 75 is white, only pastel colors can be achieved
3. Pigment amount: Do not add more than 6oz of pigment per gallon of Hydro-Seal 75. Adding too much pigment can weaken material.
4. Desired Color: When you have acheived the desired color in the A component you will be mixing the A with the B component which is white. Because Hydro-Seal 75 dries to a darker shade than when applied, the color in the A component should be very close to the applied Hydro-Seal 75 when it is dry.
5. Batching; It is very important to batch or box your custom color to make sure all pails are same shade. This is done by pouring all your component A pails or cans together and mixing thoroughly so color is the same throughout. If you pigment 1 pail or 1 can at a time without batching or boxing colors you could get some shading from mix to mix.
6. Test Area; It is vital to do a test area with the custom colored Hydro-Seal 75 to try to match the desired color of the customer or yourself.
7. Minimum Order:  Northern Industries Inc will custom color in house minimum orders over 40 gallons. Please contact Northern Industries Inc.@ 800-346-5543 if you would like to use Hydro-Seal 75 custom colored to your specifications.
